Handcrafted from palm leaves, coconut leaves, and bamboo frames, it was traditionally used for protection from the sun and rain, while also becoming a timeless symbol of the grace and elegance of Vietnamese women alongside the traditional Ao dai.
Inspired by the charming heritage of Hoi An – from the Japanese Covered Bridge and lantern-lit streets to the mossy ancient town and historic assembly halls – this creative painting experience invites you to design your own conical hat infused with the spirit and beauty of Hoi An.
